A Pacific Palisades homeowner who watched his house burn on his Tesla cameras is now calling for better long-term fire planning amid the devastation in Southern California.

Filipinos in Los Angeles affected by the Eaton and Palisades fires are racing against time to prepare for incoming dangerous winds that authorities said could whip the blazes even further.

A map shows the perimeter of the Palisades Fire, which has burned more than 19,000 acres, is more than five times larger than the size of downtown Los Angeles.
